*First Fellowship program huge success!

Our first group of Blue Kitabu Fellows had a hugely successful session conducting research and experiencing Ghanaian culture during their stay in Asebu in January. We are looking forward to hosting the next group this summer! Application information can be found on the website.

* Rockin’ fundraiser in San Diego, CA

San Diego State University students hosted the Rock Out Karaoke fundraiser this winter, raising awareness about global education inequity and over $500!

*Blue Kitabu photographs on display at BHCC

Chief Development officer and co-founder Alexander Rivest’s photos are on display at the “Body and Soul” art exhibit in celebration of Black History Month at Bunker Hill Community College. The exhibit will be open through February 27, 2010.

*Just one more way you can help…

Blue Kitabu is collecting plastic bags and old t-shirts to turn into recycled art, which will be sold to benefit our projects!
